Walking tour questions, answered
Everything you need to know before you join a Crafted Routes walking tour in London, from meeting points to what to wear.
- Where and when do the walking tours start?
- Each tour has a central London meeting point shared in your booking confirmation: Westminster Bridge for Crowns & Power and Southwark Cathedral for Thames & Towers. Both tours run twice a day, with a 10:00 morning start and a 14:00 afternoon start. Please arrive 10 minutes early so we can set off on time.
- How long are the tours and how far do we walk?
- Each tour lasts around two hours at a relaxed, sociable pace with plenty of stops to listen, look and take photos. The total distance is gentle and easily manageable for most people.
- What's included in the price?
- A friendly, knowledgeable local guide and a carefully planned route packed with history and heritage. Any optional attraction entry, food and drinks are not included.
- Which days can I book?
- Our walking tours run every day of the week. Simply pick the date and either the 10:00 or 14:00 start in the booking calendar for your chosen tour.
- What is your cancellation and refund policy?
- Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your tour for a full refund. After that you're welcome to transfer your booking to another date or person.
- What happens if the weather is bad?
- Tours run rain or shine, London is wonderful in every season. In the rare event of dangerous conditions we'll contact you to reschedule or offer a full refund.
- What should I bring and wear?
- Comfortable walking shoes, layers and a jacket if rain is likely. Bring water and your camera, the views and stories are unforgettable.
- Are the tours suitable for children and accessibility needs?
- Children with an adult are very welcome and pay the same price. The routes are mostly step free and on pavements, but please let us know about any accessibility needs and we'll do our best to help.
- How big are the groups?
- We keep groups friendly and relaxed with a maximum of 20 people per tour, so you always get a personal experience with your guide.
- Do you run day trips outside London?
